What if someone said to you I'm your friend and we are together and need water and they slowly poisoned your water and you eventually die from it.  Was he really your friend? I'm sure he was not.                                      
                                                ok lets take another like situation

What if a church or religious organization told you this is the way to get to God and you believed them and followed that plan and path, later to find out that its why you went to hell because key things they told you was false; knowingly lied to you or even if they did not know themself the result is the same, Forever in hell.  Look the Bible is GOD'S words and NO NEW LAWS or RULES can override that. Yes we can have a preacher, pastor, etc as a Mentor but we need to know that what they are saying is Truly GOD'S WORDS AND NOT ANYONE BUT GOD'S.

God said "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.  (Hosea 4:6)
